Counselling Services
Hi, my name is Frankie.
Life can be a lot, there’s no denying that at times, everyone feels overwhelmed or like they can’t keep up or cope with their life or the world around them, I’ve been there too. Coming to counselling can be scary, and this can be made all the more challenging when trying to pick the right counsellor for you.
I work compassionately and empathically, without judgement, to create a confidential and safe space for you to talk and explore your experiences. I can help you to understand your thoughts and feelings to create a better understanding of yourself, others, and your relationships, to promote healing and growth.
I have experience in a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, body image.
My role is not to offer advice or solutions, but to help you develop a greater understanding of yourself to promote growth and wellbeing, so you are better equipped and more confident in your own decision making. You are the expert in your life, not me, so I am here to support you and guide you, not to tell you what to do.
I work integratively combining person-centred and psychodynamic counselling theory. This means that not only do we explore you’re here-and-now experiences and your way of being, but also look into your past experiences and patterns of behaviour, to explore how they may be affecting you in the present.
I am qualified and experienced in working with adults of all ages. As a qualified integrative counsellor, I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hence adhere to their ethical framework, meaning that I work professionally, safely and confidentially.
Alongside developing my own private practice, I have been a voluntary counsellor for The Listening Post Counselling Service since April 2023 where I have gained experience and worked with a diverse range of clients.
